It's Friday and I want to be...

Before each weekend, I find myself dreaming of places I would love to travel. I get intense wanderlust, and the fact that I have no money does not crush my optimism that I will soon get to travel the world. Part of my job is searching through hotel websites. This does not help things. So on this Friday, I would like to present one of my favorites. The hotel itself seems nice, but the people who work there seem truly amazing. Please follow the link below and click on VIP area after you get to the main page.

Doesn't it just look amazing? What is up with the zebra print chair, and will I be allowed to sit on it and drink from a chalice while surveying the room as if from a throne? Why is that one dude wearing a tux? Does this mean I can wear a formal ball gown the whole time and people will be okay with that?

I also want to thank Sara for setting this up. It is something that I've wanted to do for a long time. Somehow, my mind always wanders off and I've never gotten around to it. So here's to new beginnings! Also, I still haven't quite figured out how this thingamajig works, so bear with me. Hopefully I will be able to come up with some posts as stirring and interesting as Sara's last one. Most likely I'll talk about stuff that scares me, things I learned from TV, and vampires. Comic-Con is coming next week though, and I promise a very nerdy post on the event.

A New Beginning

Welcome!

So, my good buddy Katherine and I had a brilliant idea over an exchange of emails today to create a blog about a wide variety of topics and have ourselves and our friends contribute. Let's get a little history first:

Pretty much since I first met Katherine during sophmore year of high school we have been saying we're going to get together and write a book, or write a screen play or write a sit-com. Yeah, so none of that has happened. Then on last week's episode of How I Met Your Mother we saw our life mirrored on the silver screen. Ted turns to Barney and says "Dude we should buy a bar!" they then determine that it should be called Puzzles. So, in a nutshell calling this blog Puzzles for the Wandering Minds is a homage to one of our favorite shows and as well as our mind's inability to focus on a project for very long. BUT with this blog, and the wide variety of topics we are going to grow, we're hoping that our wandering minds will find a place to travel on this site. We're hopefully going to come up with a system to organize the topics so that they are easy to pick out. Of course, this is assuming that we won't be procrastintors, which has history working against us. But damnit, it's a new year. And what are new years for except to right your wrongs!

So, to 2009, How I Met Your Mother, and No Last Calls!!!

Cheers,
Sara
